Using the same techniques used to assess and monitor the performance levels of Olympic and professional athletes we can offer and provide a range of tailor-made packages to monitor your progress and performance, specific to your goals and activities.
Working with you to identify any lifestyle and health & fitness goals, or taking the next step in your performance and fitness ,our comprehensively equipped facilities allow for controlled testing procedures using state of the art equipment to accommodate tests for a wide variety of sports and activities. We will provide feedback on your results as well as assisting in programme development in collaboration with a coach and/or individual.

Physiological performance tests ensure you are on the right track with your programme and to assist in progressing your training.

Why assess VO² max?

A VO² max test measures the maximum amount of oxygen a person’s body can breathe in and use. In other words, it records their maximum aerobic power.

Endurance athletes such as Paula Radcliffe will generally have a high VO² max. Power athletes such as sprinters will have a lower reading. The higher your VO² max, the less you need to work anaerobically.

Coupled to an assessment of blood lactate, a thorough profile of cardiovascular performance ability can be obtained and used to determine specific training zones and cycles to help optimise a training programme.
