The core values of The Performance Clinic are to be dynamic and proactive. The focus on each individual athlete with a special level of care and consideration will ensure world class physiotherapy service provision that is above and beyond your expectations.
We diagnose, treat, educate and help prevent many diverse conditions. Whether you are injured or not, we will give you the tools in the form of stretches, exercises, training advice, footwear recommendations to prevent injury and to realise your performance goals.
Physio can be beneficial at the first sign of a problem and can stop a minor niggle developing into a major problem. Research has proven that people who seek physiotherapy early after an injury have shorter recovery periods than those who wait. Our clinicians are expert in assessing movement patterns and biomechanics and provide appropriate treatments to correct these patterns to to minimise risk of further injury and to enhance your performance.
We are Chartered Physiotherapists, registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC), Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (ACPSM).
What to expect
At your first appointment the physiotherapist will take a thorough history related to your symptoms, followed by a physical assessment so that the correct treatment can be executed as quickly as possible. An appropriate individual management plan will be discussed with you and we will organise further investigations if appropriate. Your physio will educate you about your injury and what you can do to prevent further injury.
You are more than welcome to bring a family member or your coach to your sessions.
Remember: You don't need to be referred by your doctor to seek treatment at The Performance Clinic.

Injury prevention & Performance enhancement
Biomechanical screening & Gait analysis
Preventing injury and optimising performance is beneficial to us all, whether on the sports field, at work or at home. Through a comprehensive assessment of spinal alignment, posture, muscle imbalance, biomechanics and flexibility, and gait analysis any imbalances will be identified. The biomechanical screening will be sport specific.
A programme addressing these inefficiencies will allow you to continue your sport or activity with a decreased risk of injury while enhancing your performance. This programme will increase your understanding of the body's correct mechanics, allowing you to incorporate this into future training.
